Valencia has the perfect beach for each of us!

Did you know that Valencia has a great diversity of beach styles with spectacular blue waters and fine golden sand on the Mediterranean Sea?

Urban or wild, family oriented, sporty, animal-friendly, nudist… there are beaches for EVERY taste. Don't forget that due to Valencia's climate, you can always enjoy its beaches, even if it's just to go for a walk, cycling along the promenade, eat paella or have a snack with beautiful views of the Mediterranean.

If you want to visit the city and go to the beach on the same day or go to the beach after work or school... Valencia is that amazing city that allows you to do it!

Here is a list of beaches in and around the city that I usually visit depending on the occasion:

Urban beaches:

Malvarrosa & Cabañal beaches. These are the oneas that people, without leaving the city, can enjoy and which are easily accessible by public transport. There is a wide range of sporting and leisure activities and a wide range of restaurants.

Patacona beach: A highly recommended beach that can also be reached by public transport. This urban beach is less crowded than the previous ones. In recent years the gastronomic offer has expanded with new restaurants with charming terraces. Perfect for dining and watching the sunset or having brunch, lunch and paella with a beautiful view. It is also popular for the "chiringuitos" which are the bars with sandy floors in the middle of the beach, which are open from mid-May to mid-October approximately.

Surrounding beaches:

If you'd rather avoid the urban beaches without travelling far, you'll find the perfect beaches around Valencia within less than 15 km of the city and also accessible by public transport. But keep in mind that they can also be reached from the city by a beautiful bike route.

Pinedo beach, pet friendly: Pinedo is the closest dog-friendly beach to the city, about 8 km away. The beach has fine sand and calm waters. Nearby there are some restaurants along the promenade, ideal for a good time with your pet!

El Saler, La Garrofera, La Devesa & L'Arbre del Gos beaches: Despite its proximity to the city, you will be surprised how different it is from the urban ones. Here the beaches are wilder and without big buildings. Take note, depending on where you stop and stay, there may or may not be toilets, restaurants, showers, bathrooms, etc. These are beaches with natural dunes and typical vegetation of the area. They are located within the Albufera Natural Park. These beaches are perfect if you don't want to be surrounded by many people but they may not be the best place to go with elderly.
